5 week postnatal yoga courses at Stanley Halls.
It is suitable from six weeks after birth or eight weeks after a caesarean birth. Please consult your health visitor if you have any concerns about whether you are ready.
The class is a gentle way to reconnect to your body and 'close it down' after the birth. There will be a focus on easing any back and neck pain and strengthening stomach and pelvic floor muscles. Breathing exercises will be used to create calm for you and your baby and the class will end with a relaxation to re-energise you.
As always, practice at your own pace and to your own needs. Baby can be held during postures or can chill out on a blanket at the end of your mat.
The class will also be an opportunity to meet other local mums, have a chat and exchange experiences.
The five week course is £55 and these classes must be used consecutively and cannot be transferred to another class/course.

What to wear: Anything comfortable that you can move in.
What to bring: Mats, blocks and straps are provided but you are welcome to use your own. Please bring a blanket for your baby to lie on top of, on a mat.
Where: Lower hall, Stanley Halls. The buggies will be in the room with us, enter through the side entrance on Cumberlow Avenue.
